This is a One of a kind, Highly Detailed High Performance 1946 Ford Pickup Truck!
Army Special Forces (also known as the Green Berets) has the motto: De Oppresso Liber – Latin for (To Liberate the Oppressed.)
This custom 1946 Ford Pickup honors the Green Berets in a way no other truck can.
It has a Ford Racing 460 cu in Engine with a fully customized TREMIC 6 speed transmission.
This is a purpose-built show truck that was featured in Custom Classic Trucks Magazine and shown at the 2009 Detroit Autorama Show
as well as the cable TV program Car Crazy on Speed TV .
Talk about attention to detail: It was a total frame off restore/rebuild/modification. The body was not chopped at the A and B pillars, it
was chopped even from the hood back through the doors so it does not have the chopped look. The windshield and all three of the other
windows are tinted and electric to include the rear window. The rear window is custom. The bed is all new and totally custom also along
with the tail gate which was totally custom built and can be removed. The gas tank fills under the tail gate and there is no gas cap, you
just fill it like NASCAR, just push the pump line in and fill it up and then the cap closes.
All suspension hydraulics and battery are in 2 boxes that are welded to the frame. The body, after you remove the doors, tailgate and
hood, can be removed all in one piece. All fenders are connected to the body.
